Every compound page on the Ledger carries a grade. The grade measures how much evidence exists, not whether a compound works, and never whether it is safe.

A — Multiple published controlled human trials, or regulatory approval anywhere in the world.
B — At least one published controlled human trial, or strong and consistent animal data replicated across independent labs.
C — Animal or in-vitro data only, or human data limited to uncontrolled pilots, case series, or chart reviews.
D — Anecdote, a single preliminary study, or no primary literature.

Rules we hold ourselves to: a negative trial still counts as a trial; approved drugs are A by definition, which is not an endorsement of any source; blends take the grade of their weakest component; regional trials count, but small, old, or unreplicated studies are described that way; every grade carries the date it was last reviewed, and changes are logged in Corrections & Updates.
